Day 131 of 365:
Trying my hand at something completely new to my writing process so far:
So often, I find, ideas and entire scenes always seem to pop in to my head while I am driving, only to fly out my sun roof, escaping like butterflies. This, of course, is the most frustrating thing in the whole world.
Plus, I have a feeling that writing in my notebook while behind the wheel would be viewed as “distracted driving”, were I to be pulled over by the local constabulary. Can you imagine getting a ticket for writing? Not cool.
So, I talk while I drive.
No more of my thoughts fly out the window. I capture them all with my handy little dicto-stick!
Looking for input from my fellow writers – do you use dictation as part of your process? If so, what has been your experience with it?
