Artery

Day 96 of 365:

ar·ter·y
noun
any of the muscular-walled tubes forming part of the circulation system by which blood (mainly that which has been oxygenated) is conveyed from the heart to all parts of the body.
an important route in a system of roads, rivers, or railroad lines.

Guildwood Parkway

Locke Street

Bloor Street West

Broadway

All the main arteries that have, at some point or anther, carried me home and served as the heartbeat of the neighborhood or town in which I live my life.

Just as an artery’s main function in the body is to act as the main thoroughfare in which life flows through the veins, the main street of any town or city does the same.

Walking up Broadway today, on my way to Yoga. Our beautiful main street speaks of the general tone and pace of the small town I call home: easy-going, laid back and peaceful.
