This little dragon-fly was playing hide and seek with me.  Darting around me, in and out of my view finder.

At last he (assuming it’s a he?!) landed on this lily pad long enough for me to get a good shot of his neon colours and those cool little eyes.

At the same time, I was reminded of how important it is to take a moment, from flying about your day – and pause.  Stop moving, stand still.  Better yet, pause your mind.  Reconnect.  Recollect.  Reset.

It was just a moment though.  I blinked and this little guy was gone!

  1. Couldn’t agree more about the stop, stand still, reconnect, recollect, reset. In my book that’s what a cup of tea/coffee is really for. Don’t drink it at your desk, take it apart from what you were doing, don’t listen to music/tv/conversation, just go and be quiet somewhere.
Same is true for wildlife photography, don’t go bootling about looking for it all the time. Sometimes just pause and stand quietly and we are often rewarded with what comes to us. Stephen
